i honestly never expected that people would object to this law


its crazy that somehow this is unnacceptable, but then again this is a society that is slowly crawling away from self-accountability anyway so i shouldnt be that surprised.

this seems pretty simple to me...it boils down to:

It's unjust to punish people for crimes they didn't commit.

and the argument "don't try to rob and rape people and it won't happen" seems very unsatisfactory to me, since it could be used to justify any punishment whatsoever: crucifixion, even. Even if you rob and rape, you still have some rights.

I'm kinda surprised so many people feel the way they do, actually...this guy is most definitely scum, but this is America and we owe it to ourselves, if not him, to deal with him fairly.

btw, i think its awesome they're gonna try the other guy for murder. He could have stopped everything, he could have said "man g, lets not break the fuckin law, lets go breakdancin instead." but nah, he was like "ok, we can go rape a chick, I was thinkin about some chicken but its all good". Therefore, I think its ok that the other guy gets charged with murder.

(though it would have been more awesome if she would have smoked them both).

Yeah, the only thing that went wrong with this situation was that she didn't kill both of them.

The other guy could have decided not to follow through or tried to stop his buddy from committing the crime. The punishment sucks, and I still think its deserved. Maybe at least scare him. Our justice system is screwed up enough that he'll get off on some lesser charge anyway.

i wonder if we got qntmfred to compile a list of every instance of the word "deserve"posted and cross referenced it with the users who most often post it if there would be any correlation to the number of requests in feedback forum for those same users to be banned
