Guy was there with his wife trying to convince his doctor it was GERD/High Blood Pressure/Type 2 Diabeetus/the flu/the pox/bird flu/whatever and was making him run all sorts of tests. Guarantee he couldn't afford to pay for all those fucking tests either. Worst fucking hospital I've ever been to." |
Born there. Spent 18 years with that being my hospital. Could not agree more.8/18/2010 9:36:30 AM |

COVERED IN BEES!!! [/eddie izzard]
Quote : | "I thought maybe he got stung by a bee in his car and was literally paralyzed " |
That's what I thought too upon reading the headline. I suppose hooksaw has a point, that perhaps he didn't leave so that the bees could be rounded back up without significant loss/dispersion... Also:
Quote : | "At some point, Jenkins was advised to drive his patrol car some distance to blow the bees off. But that didn't work." |
I doubt he did a hard acceleration run, but if they didn't disperse when the car started moving, who knows how tenaciously then might be able to hang on? At least the article says that only six got into the car with him, so he wasn't being swarmed inside.8/18/2010 10:40:43 AM |

i dont get why people are calling this officer dumb
he made the call, didnt move, so that the appropriate authorities and responders can take care of the situation
driving off, agitating the bees, and causing them to attack surrounding people would be the stupid move
rarely are unagitated honeybees dangerous, plus it is in the best interest to not only protect this beekeeper's hives in this ACCIDENTAL OCCURENCE, but to protect honeybee populations in general
its pretty easy to control bees that are fairly localized
so i say kudos to this officer
im just sayin
Quote : | "Did some of you ever consider that by remaining stationary, the deputy kept the bees mostly in one spot rather than dispersing them, while keeping himself out of danger on a call that he was obligated to respond to? Furthermore, did you consider that by doing so, the deputy allowed beekeepers to safely return the bees to their boxes so that the "property" could be returned to its rightful owner?
No one was harmed--and neither were the bees. And?
Some of you aren't very bright." |
dude, people just hate cops no matter what until a nigga robs their fuckin ass
