on a more serious note, dan's cafe is something you should definitely try once. it's quite an experience. i suggest a more meta approach though, as you are likely to enjoy it more if you go in looking to people watch while you drink, rather than be a part of the crowd.

i found my place on craigslist. people move in and out of this area all the time. you can also get places in good areas for a lot cheaper than if you went through the office of some apartment complex or something.
