NEVERMIND

i have wanted to be a flamingo for the past 3 years. this year i'm actually gonna do it. if i start NOW i can perfect my costume. things i'm going to need:

1-2 of these:


one of these (i already have a light pink one so i might just look up info on painting/spray painting/dyeing tulle):


a pair of these (which i already have):


something like this (i have plain white, but i'd like it to be a lighter pink than the hot pink tutu. so walmart or target will probably suffice):


and a sturdy head band, something to decapitate one of those flamingos with at the base of the neck, strong glue. and maybe a hot pink boa if i want to add feathers to the tutu.

i'm betting a lot of girls will be sookie stackhouse this year.

All of the costume idea's I've had are all like $700 or more, so I'll probably nix those for now. Whenever I do decide on one I'll probably go as that every single year for the rest of my life to get my money's worth...and just wear them regularly as well.

The gf and I went as Sookie and Bill two years ago, I was incredibly surprised when the first person we spoke to at the party we were at knew who we were. I guess now its gotten more popular, I'm sure there will be quite a few true blood characters.

so leather pants are going to change into purple tights and the top might change into a sheer purple top with a tank top underneath

i LOVE this idea!! you should so do it! i bet it would take time to do though, which always sucks. i always have these ideas in my head and then i wait until the night before halloween and i'm like, oh crap i'll just be a ladybug instead.

Yeah making a good costume definitely takes time.. my rubix cube took probably close to 5 hours to paint and assemble not to mention my face paint (although that wasn't that hard)

Ursula? Yeah that was a good 8+ hrs, easy. Sewing the tentacles was a bitch.

it would be fun to go as the stig and just walk around and take pictures with people but never speak reveal or your identity. the A* suit is like $900 and the simpson helmet another $400. (I have the hair to pull off James May, but don't know where to look for his style of clothes.)

I'm leaning towards mummy for one party and gangster (like 1920's pinstripe suit w/ tommy gun) for a second party


for mummy, I'll order a tyvek suit and a case of gauze- I would think that would be enough

and then I'll paint my face up good to look nice and decayed
