From what I've heard, there's some douchebag that runs a Tamaskan puppy mill that has a serious beef with the owners of Tarheel Tamaskan because they got the NCSU contract. They've speculated for awhile it's the puppy mill owner that's been poisoning the dogs.

so go to the suspect's house and grab some trash, match fingerprints, and get'em. I'll help by knocking over the trash can and spreading the trash around so the cops can investigate this as littering.

If true that's even more horrible. You would think that a dog breeder, more so than your average person, would value the life of dogs.

All you gotta do is wait until they roll it to the curb. Or if they don't have a fence, and it's just chilling by the side of the house, that works too. You don't need a warrant for that.

^^you would think that, but there are many breeders out there who see dogs as commodities rather than living animals... in their minds, if their product aint selling, they see no reason not to fuck the the product of the competitor. This is also why you see the puppy mills with lots of animals living in shit conditions. it's awful

Yeah, you've discarded it. You no longer have an "expectation of privacy" if you leave it sitting in your garbage. Now, if your garbage had a fence around it, there's some privacy expectation there, and that's a gray area for whether or not you'd need a warrant.

Guess I should have figured that since Raleigh tried to/did make it a crime to take recyclables out of trash cans, causing the city to "lose" money.

My expectation was it's private property until it hits the garbage truck.
