New news of the day is that the convenient store and another restaurant called Bings are going out of business across the street from me.
The gay bar has only been able to attract 25% of its clientele from its hayday 4 years ago.
The Filipino bar Pinatuba went out of business, was bought by "Malibu Grill", and they're not bringing in more than 20 customers on a Saturday.
The biker bar within my own shopping center is booming because they are using a loophole in the law to allow smoking in the bar. If you don't smoke, forget about walking into that place. Their non-smoking section is the restaurant they own next door only connected by the bathrooms (The corporation owns the bar and restaurant and the bar and restaurant share the same bathrooms). So if you don't like smoke you have the option of sitting alone in an empty/closed restaurant. 11/8/2010 12:50:21 PM |
