luckily no, I don't see that happening in my office environment. In the field however, there is a lot more chances. I'll just hope I don't ever make a mistake there

Hmmm...yelled at several times by customers and/or clients.
Been yelled at by my boss, but I started the "fight", so it was warranted...and funny.
Don't really get "scolded" much as I usually do things the right way...but when it does happen, it's never been bad enough to warrant a "yelling" from the boss. 10/25/2010 1:03:21 PM |

My first job (Retail at the mall) I was yelled at by my boss a couple times. Once for tipping when picking up his lunch for him (with his money) and another time for not catching a shoplifter.
Yelled at once by a boss at a previous professional job while in school, was a draftsman and someone whom I didn't work directly under asked me to make some copies... It was done in a condescending way (or so I perceived) and I understood it to be a joke. It was not a joke, and as a result of my not doing it, he ended up wasting a bunch of time having to do it himself.
And lastly, been yelled at by a customer in my current job. Someone who didn't understand the reality of timelines in the Architectural/Engineering business. Possibly her first time dealing with professionals in that context, but nonetheless, very uncomfortable.
Good times. 10/25/2010 1:22:04 PM |

More scolded/talked down to than yelled at. 10/25/2010 1:40:32 PM |
