You can change mine to "yes."
It was humiliating for me to have to turn my back on so many Republicans, but until the NC GOP starts putting forward some people who aren't fucking morons that may keep happening. At least in the Senate there was a Libertarian to vote for. From what I could tell from the debate, he was the only one of the three who didn't have his head so far up his ass that he was talking to his gall bladder. I don't necessarily agree with his platform, but at least he wasn't a shithead.
Voting for Brad Miller hurt, but Randall...::shudders:: 11/2/2010 3:14:43 PM |

And Brad Miller is a douche. Or at least the people answering his emails are douches. Very early in the campaign, I sent in an email asking a question. The response I got was essentially "thanks for your email, we understand this is an important issue for your. We will answer it after the campaign is over."
FAIL. (but I did lawl a lot over it though). 11/2/2010 3:19:28 PM |

I voted sometime last week. It was a great experience to vote against that she-devil Deborah Ross. My only regret is that I couldn't cast more than one vote against her.
In a few years when I am more financially established, and if she is still in the Legislature, I will run against her in the primary. That woman cannot get out of politics fast enough.
Other than that, I voted for Beitler and some judges no one cares for me to list. I also voted for the Constitutional Amendment. It is necessary. 11/2/2010 3:19:48 PM |

I actually got invited to an election day party hosted by one of the candidates. I wasnt going to go, but I might not ever get a chance like that again. 11/2/2010 4:11:57 PM |

^oh no, really? What do you do? Seems kinda pointless, but Ive never been invited before. Could be cool to be there when they announce the winner. (unless he loses of course) 11/2/2010 4:26:07 PM |

I agree. I met him in 2008 at the Triangle Town Centre polling station. First off, dude didn't even want to have a serious talk. I asked him about his stance on the wallstreet bail out, and he skirted the issue so bad I wanted to smack him.

nutsmaker, you pretty much called it. It wasnt too bad, just nothing to terribly exciting. There were some people who were PUMPED though. I figured there must be a new govt contract heading their way. hahah.
Im glad I did it, but its probably not something I would hang around for again. 11/2/2010 10:25:19 PM |

there were like 7 or 8 conservative voting guides left in the voting "booth" though, and 1 democratic voting guide. I took them all to the trash. 11/2/2010 10:54:44 PM |

^^^^I like to turn events into eating holidays.
In order to maintain voting as a holiday worthy of eating indulgent food, I prefer to do it on Election Day.
If I did absentee or early voting, it wouldn't be the same. However, I believe I celebrated my early vote for Obama with food...but that was Obama! 11/3/2010 3:46:40 AM |
