you should get a hooker. I was in Atlanta for a yearly sales kickoff for 3 days, and got propositioned by 3 of the hottest hookers I have ever seen.

Go to Atlantic Station, sit on the rooftop and have a meal and drinks at The Strip

on your way away, laugh at the voice on the ticket payment/redemption machine

Back for another week in the morning. Want to check out Stone Mountain for some hiking. Supposed to be in the 70's during the week.

if you like Shakespeare, my sister works for the ATL Shakespeare Company and performs at the Shakespeare Tavern on Peachtree Northeast

Great shows

Try out Fogo De Chao...it's a Brazilian steakhouse (like Brasa in Brier Creek), except that the service and quality of the meat are both phenomenal.

chicken and waffles downtown, opera club downtown, any falcons or hawks game (or thrashers if hockey is your deal), coke museum, aquarium, gtech's campus is pretty cool and their campus bookstore is on point for engineering books, there's a motel 6 in the middle of PREMIUM downtown real estate. there are tons of phenomenal restaurants within a 2mile radius of it and really close to the marta station by the mall. one of the best seafood places I've ever been is right outside the marta station. don't know the name but it has a little waterfall thing out front

Staying downtown tomorrow night. Any restaurant recommendations? Something not incredibly expensive but it is a work dinner. Good beer on draft and not a steak house...

we're only in town for 24 hours

my girlfriend is a huge fan of the Bitch Sesh podcast so we're going to a live taping at Variety Playhouse Saturday, so anything close to there is a plus

and we got aquarium tickets for 10:30 Sunday morning, so we're hoping the crowd won't be too bad. it's a place we haven't been yet and REALLY want to go, so we're ok dealing with a crowd

for the aquarium: don't waste your time waiting for the whale or dolphin shows. do the home depot tunnel experience last. don't eat anywhere around the aquarium, it's all tourist traps. go to the wrecking bar over by little 5 where you're watching this taping. if you can get to stone mountain, it's pretty well worth the time to see the original mount rushmore. if you want something cool to do after dark, go to the botanical gardens

Our favorite local airhorn-equipped activists saw fit to climb said Georgia-owned mountain recently and I'd recommend doing the same. Nice little hike and a great view.

I've had to watch turrible shows in the past. I can't judge.

When I was a kid we went to Stone Mountain a few years in a row, and my friend and I always had a blast hiking around it for several hours (we were ~14 at the time).

The mountain itself isn't a confederate monument, some rednecks just decided to carve a monument into one side of it. It doesn't necessarily mean you support the confederacy if you hike it. It's a really neat and unique geological (and yes, historical) feature. But I get where you're coming from.

(and yeah, the same guy that went on to do Mt. Rushmore started the carvings at Stone Mountain)

If you are in Atlanta, might want to check out the Southern Fried Gameroom Expo. It's a great show, I've been every year since it started.

Next one is June 2018.

Ali Baba's is the only good suggestion I've seen. Who the fuck goes to World of Coke if they don't have children?

If you really want tourist stuff, just go to the Cyclorama.

I guess being in Buckhead limits you. Five Points/Decatur will give you better local food/drink options.

I've heard World of Coke is pretty cool.

You could also wander up to Kennesaw and check out the Civil War battlefield.

I actually love Civil War history

even took multiple Civil War history classes

battlefields aren't the same as Confederate monuments/memorials, though
