Filling is definitely central PA (PA dutch area), I'm from Montgomery County and it's stuffing here.

yeah so I asked my mom about stuffing vs filling and apparently my grandma called it filling her whole life and she never lived anywhere but Upper Darby, PA

my grandmother makes a delicious DRESSING - they look like little biscuits, and she uses the broth from the Thanksgiving turkey to make them. Oh so tasty

we call it dressing

makes sense to me b/c we don't put it in the turkey. you bake it in a pan.

As has been said multiple times ITT, "stuffing" if it's cooked inside the bird, "dressing" if not, and "filling" just does not apply to the situation.
