I came very close to buying a tree earlier... glad I didn't do it though

we really can 't have one b/w our lack of space, idiot dog, and destructive climbing/chewing kitty

^^ Naw, you have to remove the tinsel first but tinsel is anyway.

"thing was we wound up spending $75 for that tree (counting the tip), another $5 on snacks and probably $10 in gas round trip. that's a $90 tree plus about 3-4 hours of the day. my sister in law got her pre-cut tree from the grocery store down the street for $40, and i think it's even bigger."

Wherever you went is $texas

Last year we got a table top tree and it made all the difference due to lack of space. I want to go get a tree tonight, but we'll def have one by Saturday.

And we either throw ours in a lake or creek or burn it once it's been taken down.

Yeah, we've thought about it, but it would end up having to be outside on the sun room if we did that (only other places we could put it would be on the computer desk or coffee table in front of the TV). I think we might still get a wreath though, and do something with that

Is that that place near Peace College? I've never actually been in there.

I do plan on hitting up Ten Thousand Villages this weekend. They usually have nice stuff.

It is indeed. They usually have a great display at Christmas w/ all kinds of ornaments and decorations.

We haven't gotten our tree yet...something about the weather in FL makes it hard to get into the holiday spirit.

We just got our tree.

On the way to buy it I realized all the lights and the tree skirt are in Fareako's car, in Burlington. So we can't start decorating it until whenever he goes and gets it. Fail.

Our tree is such a beautiful tree by itself. We have not decorated it yet but we have had it up for a week.

Will have to take a pic with better lighting. The ornaments are all purple and gold.
