I ate all 12 and think I finished in under an hour. I forgot to look at the timer at the start though. I was pretty close to the back.

This wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Only felt like puking for a couple minutes.

I did worse than last year, think it was an hour fifteen or so. I had a harder time with the doughnuts this time, even with rain washing some glaze off.

54 minutes. took me quite some time getting those last few donuts down. went 3, 4, 5 and was pretty disgusted by the last group. but yeah, run back was pretty painless and i didn't see one person throw up. i assume that 15 year old looking kid won. he was already turning back onto peace as i was coming up on KK.

Did it in about an hour. Do they post the times online? I didn't feel like going to check my time when I got done. The running wasn't bad at all, but those last 4-7 donuts took me forever.

55 minutes for me but i REALLY struggled with the last 4 doughnuts.....never really came close to puking but burped a lot on the run back....much less puke this year than last year. i only saw a few piles....

just over 51 min for me and no puking. this was my 3rd time (54min first year and 59 min last year). I didn't really hit a wall with the donuts this year as I have before and I think it was because I ate a late dinner last night. Expanded my stomach!

The doughnuts were much fresher compared to last years I though...it was definitely much easier to eat this time

ate all 12 and finished in under an hour. running with the 12 donuts in my gut wasn't a problem at all. getting all 12 down at krispy kreme was painful though. i zoomed through 9 donuts in probably 4 or 5 minutes but the last 3 donuts took me a solid 15-20 minutes to get down

i saw maybe 5 or 6 piles of puke and i saw one guy actually puke. he was a trooper though. finished puking and kept right on running. gave no meaning to the term "puke and rally"

I had to work today, so I couldn't make it this time around. I did, however, walk out the door at about 7:45 AM and think to myself, "you know, I'm okay with missing this year."

It was my first time doing it. I did it in about an hour and two minutes. Ate all 12, felt pretty good the whole time. Didn't see anybody else puke either. A serious logjam at the donut pickup spot when I got there. And I wish they didn't let all the spectators stand in the raceway.

Will beat that time next year I hope. It was a really good time and slightly easier than I thought it was going to be.

As in, didn't eat them?
I was a little surprised at the lack of applause for people going finishing... the winner barely got any recognition and most of the people got nothing.

Yeah I was shocked and disappointed at the number of "challengers" that were giving their donuts away or throwing them on the ground. There's really no point in cheating like that.

Yeah but in the numbers that are coming out there's no way they can enforce the contest rules as it stands.

I see that it has different competitor classes, but does that just concern the use of rfid tags? I never participated in it.

They'd have to have a more expensive top tier competition level with a separate eating area with, say one judge to every ten runners who have to eat the donuts in view of the judge at all times.

it's pretty amazing the things people will do to win a charity race. these are probably the same people who will cheat when they play monopoly with their kids.

People bug me every year about doing this race again, and I just usually say I don't feel like it. But I will admit a large part of the reason is because of the questionable "challengers." I had so much fun in '06 and '07 because I trusted those people in the top 10 we were racing. But then in 2008, when I finished third, things just seemed really fishy to me. Of course I can't say anything, you'll look like an ass or just sore loser, but I guarantee there's some dishonesty.

Fortunately, Eric won the two years after that, so I was happy at least someone I knew was dominating. But now to see other people at the top is pretty annoying, and I definitely understand how he feels.

how does 29min break down? 4x 5min miles + 9min to eat donuts?

i don't think this is a race i personally would be too concerned with winning. to complete the challenge (honestly) is a pretty big accomplishment in itself, i think.

I hate hearing about the cheating, that's weak.

I don't know if anyone else had their split times not showing but some of those are up now. I thought they had somehow not gotten mine but it showed up a day later.

dang, i would think it wouldn't be that hard to police the top 10 finishers.

But i really just made that up. The reality is that to police the top 10 finishers you have to police like 50 people at the store. (i.e. positions do not remain static)

^^ I couldn't find anything either. I saw it around 3am Sunday morning, and it was just a passing comment about the Krispy Kreme Challenge in Raleigh. only a few images and didn't last more than about 15 seconds.

5 miles is horseshit! I basically crawled the last half mile on the old course, leaving a trail of glazed excrement in my wake.
