she was never a raging bitch. I have pics of me her and Wade when from way back in the day, but I am going to wait a while, b/c Cate has to o.k. things to be published, she has enough to do right now.

I always love mrs. edwards. she was the best mom. she always brought me food, and had good ice cream sandwiches and would let me eat as many as I wanted.

I'm sure that I could dig out some pictures of myself, her and Wade from back in the day as well. No, I will not be posting them here on TWW.

From personal experience I can tell you that she could be an unhinged, raging bitch at times. Maybe you never had the misfortune of witnessing that side of her personality. I certainly did. Nevertheless, it is poor form to speak ill of the deceased, so I will leave it at that. She certainly had many redeeming qualities. As I stated previously, I feel bad for what she went through, and even worse for her youngest children who have seen their family ripped apart.

After their son Wade died, the Edwardses donated a computer lab for Broughton High School kids to use across the street. She would always be in there and get mad at kids (including myself) for using chat rooms and stuff like that. (of course that's understandable.)

Her family was hit with blow after blow, and it sucks it had to happen to them.

I'm sure they knew it was coming, but I was shocked to see the WRAL article that she had passed only a few hours after the one saying she was off treatment and seriously ill.

she was told she had a few weeks left so they decided to make it as comfortable as possible treating symptoms instead fighting the inevitable.

Maybe no one in the public, but these announcements are often postponed until the outcome is certain so that there isn't weeks of "WHEN WILL SHE DIE" speculation in the media, and especially in tabloids.

Same thing that happened with Freddie Mercury's AIDS announcement, for instance.
