when ole time is good it's fine

but if there's not enough vinegar in the meat on a given day it sucks, because they don't have proper sauce on the goddamn counter

just some outsourced reddish bullshit and some fake texas pete

Went to The Pit last night. It was good but like everyone says, overpriced. I think it was good for my Yankee friend though because she doesn't seem like the type to appreciate a greasy spoon type place

That said, the bacon grits were A+++. You could just give me a bowl of those and I'd be happy.

Are these available at lunch? They are not listed on the lunch menu (like the only side that isn't on both menus).

^ Yeah I also noticed they're not on the lunch menu. That'd be lame as hell if they only have them at dinner.

What did you get? I always get the brisket and pork loin and it's top notch. haven't tried their eastern nc style so I can't speak for that, but their sides are really good too.

and their prices seem pretty standard...we're not talking pit prices or anything

I don't even remember anymore. It was 8ish years ago when the Hillsborough location first opened that I ventured in there.
