I don't think a lot of people realize how easy it is to miss with a handgun, even from six feet away, especially when held cowboy style with one hand. In reality those guys could have just made a run for it and odds are he would have missed all of them. Easier to say than do when you're frozen from panic, of course, but running like a girl is not a bad strategy for dealing with an untrained guy with a handgun.

Actor Jon-Erik Huxman died from accidentally shooting himself in the head with a gun loaded with blanks during filming of the TV show Cover Up. That was at extreme close range, of course, and the shot was to the head. The wound was caused by wadding exiting the gun's barrel.

Apparently blanks can be fatal up to 10 feet depending on which firearm and the amount of propellant used. Also, a theatrical firearm, once modified, can not fire real live ammunition. Replicas are non-functional look-alikes that are used when firing is not needed. Non-Guns are replicas that are capable of emitting an electronic flash comparable to that of a blank-firing gun.

obviously consequences will never be the same and he definitely done goofed up, but what's the difference between this and the sketch in jackass (2?) where the guy thinks he's going to be killed? What some crazy suicide case died? He'd have killed himself anyways, let's just enjoy the fact that he did this little stunt on video and that he managed to define the term "epic fail".

I found it to be pretty funny, all around.

Fat dude had a death wish. I'm not convinced that he intended to hurt anyone else, however. That first shot missed by a good margin, and the 2nd one went straight into the ground. After that he's just firing randomly.
