^^^What happens when you don't set a budget for Christmas gifts. My wife and I agreed on how much we would spend on each other, which is good for keeping the finances in order as well as saving one or both people from embarassment. Also we are in the real estate market right now, so we really want most of our money going towards the house.

Don't hate on jmpack15. Some of us just suck at getting gifts, even for long-time girlfriends or wives.
This year I gave my girlfriend the absolute best gift I've ever given anyone in my life. I mean, it blew the pants off of 20+ years of gift giving. Better than 3 year anniversary presents (girlfriend, not wife), better than any Valentine, better than any Christmas. And it was a fucking Nintendo Wii. Yes, every other present I've ever given has been worse than a god damned Nintendo.
