Also, some kopi luwak is produced in Vietnam and Philippines, but the large majority comes from Indonesia. But I was keying in on Vietnam since you said you had it at a Vietnamese place and it was served with condensed milk; that's why, along with the price tag, I said it was most likely one of the Vietnamese fake brands.

Naw, I wasn't trying to be a snob either; I probably couldn't tell the difference, and I haven't had the real thing anyway. (Plus, I'm in California.) I was just stating that the Vietnamese stuff is virtually all fake, not passing judgment as to the difference in taste between real and fake.

I have known about this coffee for a few years, but I have never come across it. I really do want to try it, though, but not at $70 a cup, cuz I can get a Kobe steak for that price. I hate coffee actually, but I still want to try it.

I had this a couple of years ago. My wife brought it from Indonesia, for like $20 (maybe 10) for a small bag, from which you could make about 5 or so mugs.

I don't like coffee unless it is sugared and with milk, but this one wasn't as bitter or acidic. I can't say I liked it, but it was definitely better than non-ass coffee.
