From this thread I gather that ewalk doesn't know how to seal the deal.

You should have gotten the girls name and number, and walked her to her car.

you probably would have gotten anal on the next try.

btw, NEVER have sex with an intoxicated person: it's rape because an intoxicated person is not legally able to give consent. that said, if you do, then u need to keep that person around and happy.

Where's that YouTube video of the law professor giving a lecture on why you never say a word to the cops ever in these situations. Seems that would have helped here.

Eh, the less that you say to the police the better. Should have walked her to her car or told her where it was parked.

Sounds like someone called the police because of the damage to the property; they were probably unable to reach the property manager or a representative so there is no report to file (can't file a victim less report). Through investigation, officer determined your car caused the damage and wanted you to inform the property manager or representative so you could take care of it civilly.

In other news, there is no such thing as felony unauthorized use unless it was an aircraft. Second, there needs to be a victim willing to prosecute. An officer can't (read shouldn't) charge anyone with unauthorized use; thats a charge you go down tot he magistrates office yourself to swear out.

Not talking to the police is a good strategy but there was probably enough PC to make an arrest for RDO if the officer was capable of finding you.

resist delay or obstruct

usually it's contempt of cop in NC - piss one off and you're getting RDO tacked on to whatever bogus charge they have "articulated" in the first place

there have been plenty of cases where women have gone back and called rape and said they were too intoxicated to say no

hell, I've even heard of cases where women have gone through with it sober and then gone cray cray and said that they were too scared to even say no at the time

pretty much if a women gets pissed after the fact, and is bat shit crazy, it will be her word against yours about what happened

NOTE: I'm not trying to slight rape- it is a very serious issue, and I think when it actually happens, the men should be castrated. but some women just throw it around all willy nilly and ruin some peoples lives just because they are dumb/crazy. That is something I can't stand

If a girl is too drunk to say no, then a reasonable defense should be "I was too drunk to stop"

"NJ Woman Charged With Setting Boyfriend on Fire

A Camden County, N.J., woman was in police custody Saturday charged with setting her boyfriend on fire on New Year's Eve.

Richard King Jr. was in stable condition in a Philadelphia burn center after a blanket he was using was set on fire, local newspaper the Courier-Post reported.

Police in Audubon, Pa., said Pamela Rozzelle, 50, was charged with second-degree aggravated arson and second-degree aggravated assault.

Rozzelle told police she could not find her car keys and tried to wake King, who was asleep on a couch. Rozzelle said she then lit a cigarette and a match fell onto a blanket that covered King, which in turn lit on fire, according to the report."

I wasn't going to post on this again, but if it is stuck on the front page I might as well to explain a few things. I posted originally because I was so angry at the situation and the position I was put in. By writing it all out it helped me to rehash everything in my mind and calm myself down, much in the way talking to a friend can be calming by just working through it again.

There were several reasons I was so angry. First being woken by the police in your room with a flashlight in your face is never a good feeling. Second the girl told the police a story that was incorrect to cover her own ass and put me at risk of being charged with a DWI, damage to property, and unauthorized use of a vehicle. I don't know if she called the police, but she definitely led them up to my specific apartment. I also had to be up at 8 AM and out the door by 8:45 or so to meet my family in Greensboro to drive to Montecello and see my brother and his wife (another reason I refused to walk her out). I was surprised upon arriving home that the thread made it to 2 pages.

I truly feel bad for her as she evidently left her keys in the living room of my apartment and also couldn't find her car. She ended up spending close to an hour outside as I can only guess that she tried to knock but everyone was passed out.

I had thought she saw me move the car to the far visitor spaces and figured it wouldn't be a problem as I described in depth where the car was. I also didn't feel like walking her out there as I knew she was going to another guys place (one reason the deal wasn't sealed). I knew this because she accepted a phone call while in my bed, hung up, and then told me to be quiet while she talked to whom I assumed was her bf. At that point I lost interest and said I was going to bed.

Lastly, I truly did not realize how drunk she was. I bought her 3 drinks at the bar while dancing with her. It is god damn near impossible to tell how inebriated someone is when you have only known them for the last two hours, of which I was drunk as well (hence no car and planning on a taxi with friends). She drove fine on the way home and then had a lapse of judgement when I pointed out our apartment and my roommates were on the balcony. I believe she was just playing around and didn't think through the consequences.

After stewing on it, I think it is the right decision to to not file any complaints as there are no charges filed as of yet and this would only serve to exacerbate the issue. I still think the cop was a complete ass.

Thanks for all the advice. Dr. TWW saves the day!

Watching campus police now... reminds me of how many toolbag cops there are out there. I mean, yeah, there are plenty that are out there doing their job and making it a safer place for us. But it really bugs me when I see cops try to scare kids just because they feel like their job is to demand respect, not to serve and protect.

by the same token, asshole kids that think they know everything piss me off too

It's been said before. But it must be pounded into your head.

Don't talk to the police.

Watch this. It's 50 minutes but worth it.
