MA 242 in Harrelson at like 8:00am with Chu. It was so epic.

I had chembob in my class, but I didn't meet him until later.

I knew no in the class and I struggled. I think I was the only one out of all my friends from high school NOT to retake calc II. I asked a random dweeb for help a couple times and he kept telling me the class was easy.

I got a 53 on the first test, but I ended up acing the class.

Chu was the shit. He told a story about a guy defending his thesis. He had some pretty complicated shit on computer graphics for his thesis and was very thorough. Chu, out of the blue, asks him "what is the fundamental law of calculus?" The guy has no clue and stalls. Then Chu says nowadays you can see the guy begging for change on Hillsborough (I laffed).

One time Chu was writing out this really long equation involving the chain rule and a guy raises his hand to ask "what is chain rule?" We had been covering chain rule for like two fucking months.

^^Coming on campus only after lunch would have been nice. I know I certainly wanted a better schedule for my first semester of my freshman year, but there were 0 options between required classes, times available, pre-reqs for what I needed to take next semester, and when you got to register. My schedule on mypack (or whatever it was called back then, packportal maybe?) for that first semester, with stuff jammed in the early mornings and evenings with little to no planning, looked more like a Rorschach blot than anything approximating a real schedule.
