Update:

The problem cat resonded very strongly to being shot. Now even just the whirring of the motor will make him bolt, and since that was preceded by me shouting at him, he responds strongly to my voice. So now yelling at him works to stop bad behavior usually.

He is still to fast to be hit by any darts though

I say go with egyeyes grenade method if the cat goes back to being a pita.

Be sure to only use a sheet rock wall for protection from the grenade. I WOULDN'T WANT ANY OF YOU CAT KILLERS TO GET HURT NOW SON.

Actually, a claymore mine pointed at the wall you're standing behind is the best bet.
