Yeah why the hell does Food Lion have that stupid conveyor belt in the first place. Bags right next to the scanner ftw. Now if only they would combine the Walmart lazy susan bagging system with the Harris Teeter scanner system and the Food Lion coupon capability, it would be pretty damn close to self-checkout perfection.

Why? It ends up taking twice as much time since you can't bag while you scan, unless you're shopping with another person who will bag for you because Lord knows the Food Lion baggers won't do it

I actually have had people come over and put the one item I bought in a bag for me there a few times. I wasn't even going to use a bag. And I don't feel like it takes me any more time to bag it that way.
