Go fishing in a lake. See what fun things you pull up. Not recommended with the big ones, you don't want to catch anything you can't actually pull up. 2/10/2011 10:40:18 PM |

Well, the magnets can easily hold a gun:
.... Well, through a door, it doesn't need the largest magnet to hold up a G24. I used it because it was close. To get the gun off the door takes about 15lbs of force. With a proper magnet mount and some spacing, the small ones could easily do it.

I know what goes on with firearms. Dealing with only one magnet at a time would make this safer. I'm toying with a shotgun mount in the bedroom closet. This was illustrating the point on another forum that I am on. 2/11/2011 4:58:04 PM |

as long as we're throwing other dangerous objects in the mix, make a shark swallow one of the big ones and then ride him around by attaching yourself to him with the other...

I don't know that much about how electromagnets work (practical application-wise anyhow), but can you wrap them with wire and set it up so that when you switch on the current, the electromagnet's force cancels out the force of the regular magnet? If so, you could make some bomb ass building climbing gear.

^IMO the magnet would flip around so its field would line up with the electromagnet's field
anyway I think he should toss one of the big ones into the air and then the other big one, then watch them smash together into a sparkly oblivion while pulling all loose bits of steel toward the mess 2/12/2011 12:58:15 AM |
