It's essentially decriminalized here. I think it's a $50 fine if they catch you with an ounce or less. Definitely not something you can get arrested for or go to jail over though

i know a few people who flat out don't smoke, but the majority of people I know partake in it at least occasionally

never understood why it's such a big deal
