wow, didn't shed a tear at all? I would even cry if this asshole dog we have right now got ran over, shot, ran away or hurt because I do care for her even though she is a jerk. I think you have to respect the life even though I do believe for damn sure they are not equated to humans.

I would much rather drive right the fuck through my dog in a car than have him put down easily in a controlled environment.

just tears up my house periodically and bolts out the door often (and mostly at inopportune times like when we need to leave on vacation or it is raining hardcore). She is also terrified of people who aren't Ken, me, Maya, my brother, and mom so that becomes a disastrous situation sometimes. Doesn't sound like much work but she is too much work sometimes and we have gotten help with her with no results. She was abused by her foster family if that makes it any clearer.

Why would someone foster animals if they abuse them. That is terrible

What sort of help have you gotten with her? Did you know about her behavioral issues before adoption?

tl;dr I have told this on TWW before so this is more for wolfpackgrrr

We did not know there were behavioral issues before we got her. We have had her for going 3 1/2 years.
We have gone with a couple of trainers, did the petsmart thing, watched Caesar Milan, read books, and have talked with our vet multiple times. She is just too much sometimes. The couple was an old couple and she was VERY hyper active when we first got her so I could almost see how they struggled with her. It is sad.

She tore up our house pretty good when we first got her and we are now on her 4th crate, the first three were metal and she managed to eat through the third one with no remnants of that part of the cage to be found. Not to mention that day she somehow got into some paint we had just painted Maya's room and drank it and demolished our laundry room by eating trim, ate our bird's food, a couple pairs of shoes and just tearing EVERY THING up in sight. She has also eaten some of our blinds. We have taken her to the vet multiple times to get her insides checked out to the tune of $300-600 each time and they would find nothing wrong with her. Mind you this has not been recent. We got another dog (that LOVES people) in hopes that she would calm the fuck down.
We have had to redo carpet, painting walls, spent an obscene amount of money on vet/trainers/pet supplies (that she destroyed) and still have to deal with her shit. It has been worse than having a kid so far.

That is the story of Maggie.

Something funny is that she was so afraid of our friend who is 6'4" that when he went to pet her she turded on the floor.

[Edited on February 25, 2011 at 5:48 PM. Reason : She is def calmer now but still a little shit sometimes.]

Wow wow yeah I bet you could easily get on the show if you told them your story and sent them a video of some of her behavior.

we tried video taping her a few times and it was just pointless. All we saw was her storming through the house to rooms out of the camera's sight and heard the crashes and rustling in other rooms. I looked into Caesar Milan's show but he only goes to homes out in the LA area.

Maggie is an anomaly and I have never in my life heard of a case like her's...she is very hard to describe and what I just said does not give justice to the situation.

I've seen him go to other places before, and yours seems like a case he would gladly take up. You just gotta get it on video

might even need to FDT for the cause... I'm just sayin...

Yeah I've seen episodes outside California too. If the network thinks it will make good tv, they'll fork out the money for a traveling episode. Just got to make the sob story good

I think if you told them all you wrote here too, especially how you've tried all sorts of training etc already, it would definitely pique their interest.

I just spent more on knee surgery for my dog than I have ever spent on medical services for myself.
