Wins and getting/keeping talent. When he succeeds at those, then he will be worthy of hype. Alabama fans don't miss him for a reason, just like how any intelligent person doesn't miss Herb.

i believe that i've read the brunt of it.

About Marshall and Smart? Surely you jest. People implied that our players would transfer if we hired Marshall instead of Smart and I said why because Smart is black they would stay. Nowhere did I say they were inferior. WTF are you talking about?

I think it is a real rough road for him if we lose the rising freshmen and he has to basically start all over.

If he can keep most of the players we have along with the recruits I think we are in good shape to build from there. But recruiting is so much about momentum, and with the team we have now I think you can sell recruits on what will be here when they get here. If they all go it is going to be tough to convince players they aren't heading into a rough situation.

It doesn't mean he won't be successful or that we can't be competitive quickly, I just see a situation where we could be decent next year and moving forward if we keep everyone, and if we lose everyone we are looking at 2-3 years of the shitter to get back into a good recruiting cycle and then going from there.

I like the hire, but I think it all comes down to keeping the players here and if he can do that I think we'll be in good shape.

What I'm referring to is his tendency to jack up that 3pt shot JJ Redick style, but he's not nearly that kind of shooter. Everyone knows how to defend him, which is why he disappears in games. In the two years he's been here, he hasn't developed any other facet to his game--that was my point.
