What are some good non-chain coffee shops in the area with outdoor seating? I wanted to go to Global Village the other day but then remembered they have no outdoor tables Usually I end up going to Third Place even though I think their coffee's kind of gone downhill over the years.

When I lived in Raleigh, I took my family dog to the place on Hillsborough St. across from the business school.
In Durham either Blue Coffee or Bean Traders.

I once saw a dog sitting on a bar stool in a decent cafe in Amsterdam. no joke.
