be careful with this... i helped a friend erect his deck and when he went to sell the house the realtor asked if he got a permit to erect the deck. we had to take it apart for the inspector to come see and he made us add additional footings.

apparently realtors are starting to ask this question a lot. ive messed with a lot of decks in my time. hopefully they wont require permits too lol
