I've had 2-3 sodas in the past 2-3 years, and all of those were Mexican Cokes. It's probably been at least a year since I've had one.

Water, Coffee, Tea, and Beer. Sometimes liquor.

I usually drink tea unsweetened. I will occasionally put sugar in my coffee, but that's only if I have real cream (I don't know how people can use the powdered creamer ). Otherwise, it's hot and black.

In college I downed like a two-liter a day of Dr. Pepper. LOVED that shit. I used to hate diet soda, but after I went to the doctor and they found my triglycerides were too high, I switched to diet cold turkey. Shit was nasty at first, but I got used to it. Better than drinking water and I lost like 15-20 pounds.

Lately my dilemma has been drinking soda without caffeine in the evening so I sleep better at night. I'll have coffee in the AM and maybe a caffeinated soda at lunch, but dinner and later I try to do caffeine free. Caffeine free diet Dr. Pepper and Diet Sierra Mist ain't bad, but soda lately has gotten $texas, so I switched to store brands. Anybody got any comments on store brand sodas? I have been doing the Food Lion brand caffeine free Orange Soda and also do the Diet Dr. Perky. Any others you loved or hated?

My hubbie brought me home a fountain drink last night -- REGULAR Mt. Dew. I felt loved.

Agreed with Joie.

Nothing beats the subdued sweetness and sharp bite of a diet coke!

I probably average about 1 a day tops. I have one at work. Outside of that it is water or watered down fruit juice 99% of the time at normal meals at home/work.

ok
MELLO YELLO ZERO

i had been waiting for a diet mello yello for YEARS

at first i tried it and was like "ugh i am disappoint"

but it is actually pretty tasty. the trick is (as i have found with most diet sodas)

1. CAN ONLY
2. COLD (duh
3. CONSUME FROM CAN, no cup, no ice

i don't know it is prob mental but bottled diet sodas taste way worse to me than canned. AND whenever you add ice something funky happens and it makes the fake sweet taste even more fake. and the ice gets all stuck together. i don't know. my method is the A++ method for consuming diet sodas

AND

you cannot drink a regular soda or you will have to re-acclimate yourself to diet which is an arduous and painful process.

^FALSE ON ALL ACCOUNTS.

I was that way at first. But as you get acclimated to it, you can drink it from a cup, with ice, and from a plastic bottle. Also I can freely switch between the two with no appreciable difference anymore. I am immune to the originally disgusting taste of diet soda. Maybe this has to do with my recent obsession with Blair's After Death sauce and Dave's Insanity Sauce. Perhaps I have just scorched all nerve endings in my tongue.
