I think the media is really loving this one b/c last week Weiner was quite dismissive about the whole thing and lied to everyone's faces. He was a real ass to the media, so naturally why wouldn't the media slam him once the truth finally came out?

And nevermind the fact that he's a congressman for NYC, the biggest media outlet in the country.

But yes, in the grand scheme of things this matters very little.

I'm much more troubled by his stance on Israel, which is something that actually matters, but yeah, yet more proof (as if anybody needed it) that all politicians are full of shit.

i agree completely, and it's disgusting how much coverage there is for it here. half of the morning news this morning was spent on this. HALF. it's not like there is anybody wandering around the streets of nyc that doesn't know he did it, lied about, then fessed up. the media is just drooling over the opportunity to continue making weiner puns

i think it's more that Weiner is a huge dick, and every knows it, and they are glad he finally gets caught with his pants down. Everything that guy does makes you pissed off, even if you agree with him. I'd imagine that much of his animosity comes from decades of being picked on about his name, but he should have learned to get over it by now
