I think the fact that she just spouts some things without checking sources and says things to show her patriotism but then backfires because she doesn't know her facts is very Palin-esque and also shows her weaknesses that will never lend itself to her becoming president. Arrogance. Also to watch her interviews is painful, just like Palin. To be president is to be a great orator.

The fact that Palin is the one to discover her means that she will always be a chip off the old block and the basking in Palin's shadow will always make her a caricature.

I did not want to make this political like the OP asked but those are the reasons why I laugh at her cartoon nature.

TO be honest, I would vote for a republican but not a conservative.

I wouldn't support either of them, but Michelle Bachmann is undoubtedly more knowledgeable on the subject of history than Palin.

The problem is that the practice of slavery was not new. It had been around for centuries, and the U.S. government, at the time, did not have the power to simply "end it." The U.S. government did not command a military powerful enough to outlaw slavery and force each individual slave owner to relinquish their slaves. Slave owners were often powerful and commanded militias or had weapons of their own, so the belief that slavery could have easily been eliminated by the founders is absolutely absurd.
