Sorry it did not work out for you.
Ever think about working some hours for free at a non-profit or some small business?
Its a great way get applicable experience and within a year, I bet you could leverage that to find a decent full time gig.
I know a lot of people who have gone this route for getting their foot in the door and pushing them to the top of the resume stack. 7/11/2011 12:11:27 PM |

It isn't a clear job description because you don't understand what System Admins do.
Quote : | "Experience in server configurations and processes, SQL Server 05+, SQL Server Reporting Services, SharePoint, Asp.Net and Microsoft Office are highly desired. Experience in Service Desk Express (A BMC Product) is not required, however is preferred." |
Honestly, that is VERY straight forward and simple. If you can't grasp this basic skillset, I'd say you're barking up the wrong tree. I know I'm not going to apply to be a doctor at a hospital because I took an anatomy class during college. You shouldn't do this for IT work either.7/11/2011 1:58:16 PM |

Ok, let me throw my thoughts out there. I am the Email Marketing Specialist on the eCommerce team at Delta Apparel, Inc. I manage the email marketing programs for four apparel lines including Soffe.com, JunkFoodClothing.com, SaltLife.com and RangerWear.com. In my role, I am responsible for developing and executing email marketing campaigns that deliver revenue through our several direct-to-consumer eCommerce storefronts.
I have a passion for internet marketing and professional networking. Internet marketing is a significant factor in helping people connect with their next opportunity offline. I have successfully proven this by building a hyper-local group on LinkedIn called Linking the Triangle. With over 12,000 members, I help those that need to get connected offline by creating the proper environment to meet.
What I would like out of where I work is to be a champion, not only for my own interests, but also for those around me. My colleagues think of me as supportive, encouraging, and proactive. I offer a talent for working cross-functionally and a commitment to advocacy. I have an innovative leadership style, expressive work personality, strong multi-tasking skills, and trusting work style.] 7/11/2011 6:18:27 PM |
