Wow. Lots of Papa John's itt. I haven't had pizza from any of those places in a long time. Papa John's still have that way too sweet taste to it? It would be better if they didn't put sugar (or as much) in the sauce.

Whoever mentioned getting Papa John's cooked well-done and light sauce, thank you. Sooooooooooooooooo much better that way.

i never understood how people like papa john's so much (not in the context of which is better of these 3) just in general. there are people whose favorite pizza is papa john's and that just bottles the mind

For delivery pizza it hits the spot. I wish there were more local places that delivered though.

All three suck. I only eat freshly made brick oven pizza cooked at no less than 800 degrees

Last night I had a pesto shrimp pie. Goddamn immaculate.

Minced cloves of garlic, truffle oil, freshly grated parmesean and asiago cheese, a thin drizzle of cream fraiche, and semen.

i prefer papa john's...their roma tomatoes are delicious.

don't really like domino's, and pizza hut tastes like it has a half pound of salt on top

Dear Muslim God,

Why don't shitty chain pizza places focused on maximizing profits offer a more expensive type of crust for my refined palate?

whole grain doesnt have the gluten necessary for making PROPER pizza dough. theyre most likely adding shit to it to make it come out right

did whole wheat all of a sudden grow more glutens?

im talking proper chewy on the inside crisp outside pizza dough.

now if theres crazy science in that book im not up on, i will cede the point, BUT im not gonna go buy a cookbook just cause some internet floozy told me to

It's not crazy science. It's about knowing the proper techniques for conditioning the dough, which he describes in painstaking detail in that book. So far I've been impressed with the relative ease of making whole grain breads as good as white breads.

conditioning the dough? like this?

Quote :
"Bromated flour has a maturing agent added. The agent's role is to help with developing gluten, a role similar to the flour bleaching agents. Bromate is usually used. Other choices are phosphates, ascorbic acid, and malted barley. Bromated flour has been banned in much of the world, as bromate is classified as possibly carcinogenic in humans (Group 2B) by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC),[2] but remains available in the United States."

haha completely unrelated, but i was unaware of that.

new plan, i want murderbread pizza!

There's a couple options you can use. The best results I've gotten is from using a poolish which is kind of a pain, but nobody said good breadmaking is a quick process.

the pizza surface wasn't too salty, but the cheeze in the crust was quite salty.

I ordered Pizza Hut a few weeks ago and didn't even finish that shit. I'd rather have DiGiorno's than that.
