This woman stood up on the street and told the rioters that she was ashamed to be black and that the rioters were all a bunch of stupid thieves. Pretty ballsy in the midst of a violent mob

Here's a good interview that actually aired on BBC where an old black man (who was once a broadcaster) says he wasn't surprised at all by the riots and goes off on the news anchor for being disrespectful. I think it really shows where the rioters were coming from....

I like how half the people on the youtube video clips of the riots are wearing polos and talking on smartphones. Yeah, clearly they are disenfranchised and justified to be lighting fire to dry cleaners, stationary stores and pubs.

a few well placed gun shots into that crowd and everyone would go home fast. simple as that. they are threatening police, and when you do that, you deal with the consequnces. I'm sure an easy case could be made that the police were in fear for their lives or were protceting 'innocent' people out there.
