i remember rollin into this bitch at irresponsible hours, buying thangs, and playing a bunch of counterstrikepilgim shoes remembers when i was AWPin him, probably sipping a beverage purchased at a C-store do not lie
8/24/2011 12:43:14 AM
there were some vegetarian crappy hummus wraps and salads... i bought one of those every other day probably
8/24/2011 1:03:32 AM
I can't believe there hasn't been any mention of the hot dogs. easily the best thing you could get from there when they were 2 for $2. Also, c-store is open 24/7 now supposedly? That is such a load of horseshit.
8/24/2011 9:02:40 AM
^I used to go to the C-Store on Centennial Campus at least twice a week during the summer of 2006 to get hot dogs for lunch. They were always awesome.

This time of year there's always construction/maintenance workers outside the Honors c-store just sitting and watching all the girls sunbathe in the quad. People have no shame.

god this thread brings the memories. my folks didn't always want to give me any cash to survive, but "oh honey, your all-campus card is low? let me refill that for you". I lived like a king among c-store, chick-fil-a, and lil dinos. i loved wandering the bragaw c-store stoned out of my gourd
8/24/2011 10:44:28 AM
I was the Lil Dinos prized customer, used to always get double meat hooks up from that one guy with the fucked up eye in Talley. Shits would weigh like 3 pounds with all the salami and capicola on there.
8/24/2011 10:48:05 AM
I remember seeing Ilian Evtimov at Lil Dinos getting his "Mountain Dew, Big Drink".
8/24/2011 10:49:36 AM
Hotdogs stacked with condiments are easily the best part of any C-Store.Especially if you live in Wolf Village and end up hungover... just walk downstairs and voila!
8/24/2011 10:50:25 AM
Sometimes when I was toasted I would do the Atritum round robin where I'd get a lil dinos sandwich, chick fil a, a hot dog from that one place no one went, and then some ice cream at freshens. Truly a feast fit for a king.[Edited on August 24, 2011 at 10:52 AM. Reason : and then take a MASSIVE DUMP in that disgusting bathroom that always had a pool of piss on the floor]
8/24/2011 10:51:17 AM
that bathroom in the atrium was unholy
8/24/2011 10:59:00 AM
Wearing flip flops there was a death sentence
8/24/2011 11:00:20 AM
lol @ the atrium bathroom. It took me a second to remember what that place looked like on the inside.
8/24/2011 11:01:46 AM
There was a message on the wall in one of those stalls for years advertising Coast to Coast AM on WPTF 680 AM. I miss listening to that while on the overnight shifts at the Metcalf 24 Hour Desk. Lots of great UFO sighting phone calls from truck drivers and talk of Freemason and Illuminati conspiracies. That hot dog place was alright. Definitely better than Stone Willy's Pizza. That shit was always burned.

so whats up with that bubble thing on the brickyard, is it just seating or are there food places in there
8/24/2011 12:29:54 PM
^ Just seating.and sometimes raging-hormone freshman get it on in there, but they mostly come at night. Mostly..
8/24/2011 12:33:18 PM
8/24/2011 12:53:43 PM
ive only seen it a few times, but only because I've been to the brickyard only a few times in the last couple years

It's like a little cafeteria seating area, enclosed for the winter months, while they use my tuition money to make unnecessary additions to improve the Atrium.[Edited on August 24, 2011 at 12:59 PM. Reason : pic]
8/24/2011 12:58:39 PM
The Atrium really does need improving. Or at least fire proofing.
8/24/2011 1:12:02 PM
Anyone else ever been in that C-Store that's run by the blind? I'm not even sure it's an actual C-Store but I do remember randomly going in there one day and being confused as hell as to why the lights were turned off and a dude was just sitting at the register humming to himself.
8/24/2011 1:24:19 PM
C-store was the first place i had ever seen Big Az burgers and chicken sandwiches
8/24/2011 1:27:43 PM
The blind person (at least, the one who owns that particular c-store) is a woman. It's in the 1911 building. It was interesting to see her devices for reading out the dollar amount on each bill.As to the atrium, in a PA class a couple of semesters ago my group ran a fairly detailed cost/benefit analysis of the renovations. Assuming their estimates are correct, it'll be worth the money -- to the people who get to enjoy it. Note that it was people who won't be around to enjoy it that paid for the thing.
8/24/2011 1:28:39 PM
Yep that's the one. But it was definitely a man when I went shopping in there. When my kids go to State I can regale them with tails that begin with, "Back at my day at State, the Atrium was a shithole! RAWR RAWR RAWR!"[Edited on August 24, 2011 at 1:31 PM. Reason : a]
8/24/2011 1:29:25 PM
They finished the atrium this summer, it is really nice now. They bubble has also been gone for months.

8/24/2011 2:31:07 PM
thread brings back some old memories that were lodged somewhere in thereatrium used to get crowded as SHIT
8/24/2011 2:36:39 PM
8/24/2011 2:36:41 PM
Me and my flatmate always used to joke about the poor saps in the atrium who sat on those seats where the wall was 5 inches away from your face while you eat. It's like a bench of shame.
8/24/2011 2:53:33 PM
There was a drink they served in DH Hill that had Andes mints in it that was BANGIN.
