I just came back from Ocean Oaks helping the in laws board their place.

I'm going to take this route. My house is hemmed in fairly well where it sits in the neighborhood and it's a ranch as well. So most of the hardest core winds should get tamped down a bit.



Live Blog Update:
This morning at about 8:30 the sound was quite calm. I was thinking about how it would be a great morning for a boat ride. Came back across the EI bridge at about 10 and there is a what appears to be about a steady 10-15mph breeze that has picked up.

I've decided to stay at my house tonight...but I will absolutely take pictures if the eye passes over me...which at this point (depending on how big the eye is) it probably will.

Yeah. Been alternating between periods of downpour and light rain. Winds haven't kicked up much more than a normal thunderstorm (so, maybe 35mph?)

Power returned at 2am. So, no power for 22 hrs during a pretty serious hurricane is damn good in my book. Good on ya CCEC.
