fage 2% plain Add your own fruit if you're concerned about sugar. I buy frozen blueberries and add in some of those the night before so I can take it to work the next day. Or I make overnight oats: 1/2c dry old fashioned oats + 1/2c 2% plain greek yogurt + 1/2c 2% milk + 1T chia seeds + 1 scoop protein powder (sometimes I add fruit too). For dessert I mix chocolate protein powder and cocoa nibs in with it.

my wife is turkish, and we use fage yogurt as a condiment in eating. a dollop of fage with rice and baked or grilled chicken, as a dipper for some turkish meals, etc. we probably go through a large container of fage every week, and that doesn't include the fruit cups we take to work.all the us made stuff - chobani, danon, etc - are all shit

^ I literally eat yogurt everyday and try many brands, so yeah you mean major brand names sold in US stores are shit. I can think of several brands made in the US from pastured cow milk that are among of the best yogurts out there. And another thing to note that NEVER get reduced fat or 0% fat yogurt, just eat less of the yogurt that has full fat content.I even make my own yogurt and have a yogurt strainer.[Edited on February 13, 2016 at 1:24 PM. Yeah aside from protein the fat is the other healthy part of yogurt. 0% fat yogurt is dumb. I do fage total with homemade gronola most mornings for breakfast. http://www.theroastedroot.net/paleo-granola/[Edited on February 13, 2016 at 7:18 PM. Reason : s]

^ What would the Germans know about making "Greek yogurt", or, what would be so special about them?!Dude, it is a well-known fact that the appeal of Fage is that it is authentically Greek, and that's what it is!It started in Greece 90 years ago, and only about 3 years ago moved its HQ to Luxembourg:

I guess that more outlines the point that it doesn't matter where yogurt is made it's who makes it or what methods they use.

False. Any product not promoted by John Stamos is garbage.[Edited on February 15, 2016 at 5:32 PM. Reason : Garbage.]

cottage cheese is cheaper

I was just kidding, I don't use Gatorade mix for anything, especially not for flavoring yogurt

Right now my top choice is too good vanilla, distant 2nd is aldi 2g sugar vanillaThe too good has specks of vanilla bean in it and tastes really good. For about .83 cents cheaper you can get aldis, more lemon taste in it, nearly identical nutritionWant to try this simply cause has best protein/calorie ratioKroger has a new higher protein version out going to try today23g in 2/3 of a cup Or even further pushing the envelope that i am also trying today...A whopping 28g per serving Anyone have a favorite?[Edited on May 22, 2026 at 2:11 PM. Reason : Last 2 are higher calorie counts which i don't like]

So left to right we have the 23g protein per serving kroger brand vanilla, next is some 24oz siggi's vanilla, 3rd is ratio 28g protein per serving, and last is chobani zero sugar(70 cal, 13g protein per serving)- all mixed with frozen blueberries/strawberriesWorst was easily siggi's. I guess maybe cause its less ingredients(more natural), but it tasted hardly vanilla at all. Had specks of vanilla bean like too good, but taste wasn't great. Its only 24oz and about same price as others that are 32oz. Update: ratio is 24oz too. Siggis All around worst pickThat was the only easy pick. Of the other 3, ratio tasted the best to me, kroger tastes the worst. Chobani zero sugar was just kinda "there". The viscosity was interesting, ratio super thick, siggis and kroger kinda thick, zero sugar obviously more runny. Calories wise obviously ratio worst, chobani best. But if ratio had a more normal like 15g per serving, it would be kinda similar to its peers. In other words, it has the most calories cause it has the most protein.Cost, chobani wins cause its 40oz at sams for $6.24, ratio 4 cents more for 16oz less, kroger 32oz for $6. However if measuring protein against the dollar, ratio is 6.28/112($.0561 per gram of protein), chobani is 6.24/91($.0686/g), and kroger is 6/115($.0522/g)None of them taste better than too good imo(or the aldi knock off of too good either), which is $5.82 for 32oz, 90 calories is nice, but 65g total protein per container stings(5.82/65=$.0895/g)The kroger is a knock off of high protein oikos, and i wonder if name brand is better(probably), but i doubt i would pay the premium. I can't determine how to weigh taste, price, and calorie counts. As someone that wants to lose weight, i feel like the lesser the calories the better, but do I ignore taste? Is it worth paying 25% more per gram of protein for something that tastes good? Availability also a consideration. Kroger means I have to go to kroger, aldi version means I HAVE to go to aldi, etc. Hopefully I can decide what to do]

I'm puzzling out that challenge, tooI think the answer is just to eat lessand, for me, that means only eating one traditional meal per dayI have coffee with no sweetener in the morning, a lot of itjerky, nuts, hard boiled egg, etc in the mid morninga cup of tea or something else caffeinated before noonlots of waterthen a reasonable dinner around 6:30 consisting of a lean protein, high fiber vegetables, and as few carbs as possible
