orly?

and as for the OP, its humorous that you think you have a conscience and the ability to think / reason

i bet dudes granpa taught him myths about why the ocean and sky are blue because i doubt a five year old could understand that kind of science.

This is interesting post since you say "you think" before saying you don't have the ability to think.

This is asinine. A) The universe existed before the paleozoic era. and B) You answered a precision question with an approximation.

^^Well I'm talking about on Earth. Its beyond our knowledge what goes on beyond Earth or exactly when things that we didn't witness happened.

what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

The human body contains (among other things) iron, aluminum, lead, cobalt, copper, and zinc.

Metals makes cars.

a->b, b->c, c->d, a->d.

I see what you did there.

You suggest that humans are like "cranes". Humans build things for atoms and atoms control us. Atoms built humans to manipulate itself to get what it wants. Humans can walk, which is a mode of transportation. But it wasn't fast enough for atoms, so atoms built cars.

So we don't have free will, we are controlled by atoms. Some atoms are smarter than others, since some people can build cars, and some can't. Atoms, not us, control relationships, understand sarcasm, have the ability to learn, have feelings and cry for other atoms that died.

What I don't understand is why hasn't it figured out a cure to aging?
Why doesn't it share its own knowledge with its own information-retaining brain? We know it's possible to communicate with atoms since we're all born with instincts, we all follow a DNA blueprint when growing up, and we are about to able our bodies my moving it.

your problem is separating us from atoms. We are made of atoms so in that since, we are atoms too.

My problem is the universe's problem: "Why are we here?"

If we're trying to figure that out, then based on the previous assumption, atoms are trying to figure it out as well...

Earth is special. As far as we know, we are the only living things in the universe. The atoms on the moon will never move unless something hits it from space. It's void of any intelligence. What makes this world special and why are all the other ones out of reach for more than our age allows?

It seems like we're in a fishbowl, but simply going to space, we were able to jump out of our fishbowl for the first time.

Age is the jailbar keeping us from being able to communicate with any other planet like ours or age is just another riddle to solve in the game.

Back to intelligence:
Intelligence is attached to the brain. If the brain is missing, atoms can't move at will. Our bodies are no longer vehicles, they're just motionless objects again.

It has to wait for a force to be acted on it in order to move again.

"Is intelligence something that can be built from atoms?"

Why can't atoms rebuild intelligence if the atoms are already aligned in the correct position when people "die" of their heart not beating or drowning.

They can if it's under 3 minutes, but after that, all intelligence is lost. What's up with that?

There's no bait.

A serious discussion is a serious discussion. I don't see anywhere that I try to bait people into an emotional tirade.

The reason you can't believe it is because you literally "can't believe" because it doesn't exist.

Shortly, different atoms and molecules (and for that matter molecular structures (shapes)) interact (reflect, refract, absorb, or emit) with light differently. It's one of the fundamental aspects of energy - matter interaction.

Nerdchick, you're a nerd so I know you play(ed) world of warcraft. If you were a character inside that video game, how would you explain the beginning of the universe as a character inside the video game

this reminds me of the last time I hung out with college kids

they kept saying things like, "Dude, Jesus totally smoked pot!!" and "If you were transported like in Star Trek, is the copy on the other side really you???"

GeniuSxBoY is made out of atoms -> GeniuSxBoY makes pizza -> pizza is made out of atoms -> GeniuSxBoY eats pizza -> Pizza "makes" GeniuSxBoY -> atoms make atoms -> pizza makes pizza -> pizza is intelligent

This is common sense. HOWEVER... it still doesn't explain why humans can't duplicate what an eye and brain can do if it's so fundamental and logical.

it still doesn't explain why humans are TRYING to duplicate it when it's already been done, too.

Wait, wut?

You mean paint and a light bulb?

Or a photoreceptor? Digital camera or for that matter ordinary film?

We try because vision/visual media is often the fastest most efficient way to communicate information. Signs, lights, patterns, pictures etc.

What are you trying to get at? At some level things act a certain way due to atomic structure and energy. To delve further goes into quantum (I think), of which you'll have to talk to a physicist.
