Haha, nah... There's still a lot of research that needs to be done with it and they can't even point to a single gene that causes it.. I think at best it will be considered a multifactorial disorder

If I was dropping 10k on shoes, I'd lock them away in a glass case and never let anybody touch them

Christopher Lloyd is so awesome

and the first thing I thought when I saw these were coming out was if they would have the power laces. Sucks that they dont

No power laces huh? So is there a reason why they couldn't have just made these back in 85, or is it more the case that no one thought to make them until now?

Anyone who buys these and doesn't own a jet ski is probably the biggest sucker in the history of mankind.

Just an FYI. Jet ski > Sneakers.
Always.

If I see anyone walking around in these, they had better hope their shoes let them run faster than I can.

Fucking shoes only go to a 13 on their current listings. Bullshit. They have Kevin Durant in the commercial and his shoe size is way bigger than a 13 (google ftw), bullshit false advertising. I'm pissed, they better have some 15s soon!

Can you really not wear these? I mean, I know they look cool and all but wouldn't it be really tempted to stare at them in the glass case instead of wearing them around looking baller?

And that was the best shoe commercial in the history of shoe commercials

^^ If they make them in different sizes, I'm sure you're actually able to wear them. But they probably made sure to say that so that one jackass that tries to wear them as an everyday shoe (can't imagine why but you never know) can't ask for a refund after they fall apart from walking a couple miles in them.

I would definitely wear them once or twice so people could see how cool I was but nobody's really going to spend this kind of money on shoes and risk getting them dirty or breaking them by wearing them frequently.

I'm thinking both. They didn't think to make them till now and they didn't have the battery or LED technology back then.

1985? You people have your years wrong. BTTFII didn't come out till November of 1989 and BTTFIII came out in early 1990.

^But the movie came out in 1989 and the 2015 scene in the second movie wasn't shown in the first movie, so you're wrong.

^How could they make them, if you don't see the 2015 scenes till 1989 when the second movie comes out? These shoes had no connection to the first movie. It is the same thing as saying, "why didn't they make a replica of the train time machine, or hover boards in 1985?" You can't do that when that part of the story hasn't been told yet.

Those shoes have no connection to the real 1985.

^^^well I was just trying to tell you that you were wrong since you looked to be responding to my post about why these shoes weren't brought out in the real 1985. You can also buy hover board refrigerator magnets on ebay. Why didn't they just bring those out in 1985? Oh yeah...that's right...that stuff didn't exist in the movies yet.

You see, what it is, is this. We live in an alternate time line where Marty McFly never traveled back to 1955 to meet Doc Brown. Thusly, Doc Brown's inspiration for the flux capacitor never came to fruition when he fell and hit his head. Do to this, when he did in fact experiment with time travel in our alternate 1985 it was thwarted by THE LIBYANS!!!
