Sidecar.
I hate young bartenders who have no idea what it is, despite that it's one of the most basic and fundamental mixed drinks. 9/30/2011 2:12:25 PM

No...it's because they don't want to boil water for your high-maintenance ass...there are other customers to serve. GTFO and make that shit at home.
My favorite bartending job was when we didn't have a lot of the ingredients that are used in time-consuming drinks. Fuck your mojito, we don't have any mint!

It depends on the time of day.
Morning: Bloody Mary Evening: Extra Dirty Martini or Knob Creek, served neat
Though I'm a wine girl. I'm typically drunk off of a glass of wine, so needless to say, liquor is a little harder for me to handle. I need something that I can sip for a long time. Unless I'm trying to get schwasted for some reason.

I've never really thought of mixing them, honestly. Seems like most times in my circles Crown is either straight or with Coke or ginger ale. And while it's decent those ways, I've never particularly loved it. 9/30/2011 9:09:57 PM

What my financial situation makes my go-to drink: cheap Canadian whiskey or plastic-bottle rum and coke
What my go-to drink would be if I had any sort of income: scotch or bourbon 10/1/2011 12:18:59 AM

Another good one is a dark & stormy, though if the ginger ale isn't good, it's not worth my time. Blenheim spicy is the correct one to use, but it isn't exactly common.
If we're getting more elaborate one of my favorite cocktails, period, is a Negroni. (named after an Italian count, the name has nothing to do with black people, lol) Gin, Campari, and sweet Vermouth in equal measures. But you can't exactly count on bars to have sweet vermouth or campari unless they're well stocked. 10/1/2011 1:03:54 PM

Second. But only with Peruvian pisco.
Also the dark and stormy is really good.
But usually just a long island iced tea, because there is mad alcohol in there 10/2/2011 1:43:06 PM
