there aren't many Led Zeppelin songs that can be a user name on a forum

I grow weary of metal covers of old blues tunes being trampled under foot.

You can get away with it for so long, but when the levee breaks, you've got to face the consequences.

It should all make sense now.

Trampled Underfoot is one of the greatest Zeppelin songs ever.

Quote :
"The song was written by Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, and evolved out of a jam session in 1972.[1] The lyrics were inspired by blues musician Robert Johnson's 1936 "Terraplane Blues."[2] A Terraplane is a classic car, and the song uses car parts as metaphors for sex—"pump your gas," "rev all night," etc.[3] The themes of these songs however differ; "Terraplane Blues" is about infidelity, while "Trampled Under Foot" is about giving in to sexual temptation.[4]

Much rehearsal went into perfecting the relentless semi-funk riff that dominates this song.[2] John Paul Jones has credited Stevie Wonder with the inspiration for the beat ("Superstition", 1973), which he played on a clavinet.[2][5] While both riffs are funky with a vaguely similar pattern,[citation needed] they are readily distinguishable. Backed with a solid backbeat from Bonham, the song would later be sampled in dance remixes and the BBC television programme the Old Grey Whistle Test, synchronised the song with a black and white filmclip featuring dance hall girls. Guitarist Jimmy Page? played wah-wah and, as producer, employed backwards echo on the recording."

It's nobody's fault but mine honestly. I support Zeppelin regardless of their plagiarism and after ten years gone, I'm still a diehard fan. This isn't some bullshit candy store rock that teenagers play in the evening. I don't know how many more times I can hear this argument from my friends before getting sick again. This is some of the best rock n roll out there and in my time of dying, I hope they will continue to play these tunes as I walk on my own stairway to heaven.

they were awesome until about age 12... since then they are alright, but just a bit too corny. Not KISS level corny, who I have always hated, but still corny.
