depends if, like a bottle of wine, you brought as a gift to share then you leave it for the host.

The only time I take it with me is if I know my friends won't drink the beer I brought. If you know your crowd then you should be able to gauge that pretty easily.
If you go to someone's house and you're not good friends, I would just plan on leaving any beer that isn't consumed. 10/31/2011 3:19:21 PM

i don't have shitty friends, so this isn't really an issue 
i suppose it just depends on each person individually...i don't mind sharing because my friends aren't dicks...i assume that's why my friends don't mind sharing, either
