it's a fairly unique situation I think for the former leader to have been captured in the middle of a war basically but I'm pretty sure him being paraded around, beaten and then shot to die slowly (while chanting god is great!) sets a pretty bad standard and makes me question what the future holds for Libya, also confirms why I usually try to take the least amount of interest in the middle east as possible

its funny, on bob and the showgram they were supposed to have these fighter pilot guests on Wednesday, jet refeuling team of nearly all women

at the last minute they couldnt make it on the show, save for like the main pilot, because they had to make an emergency flight to Libya, of course no further details were given.

The thing I worry about, with regards to publicly dragging his body around, is the reaction from other leaders in the middle east. As you see in placed like Syria, their method of dealing with civil unrest isn't to find a political way to find a social peace while still maintaining political control... it's to march troops and armored vehicles into the public places and start slaughtering civilians.

For every civilian who is encouraged and strengthened by images of a fallen leader, there is a standing leader fearing for his life and realizing that political solutions are over-rated.
