I LOVE my food saver. So nice to be able to buy meat and stuffs in bulk and freeze it in single or double portions. I want to get some of the containers so I can do the quick marinades.

well since I am about to lose my house it seems due to foreclosure and a divorce.... a warm place to live would be nice.
If I don't lose the house before Christmas.... a load of cold cash wouldn't hurt.
Oh and less stress would be nice also, THX.
And perhaps a car that doesn't break down as often. That might help also.
Above all, I want my children to have a Merry Christmas.

lighting--so important! when i pull up to our house at night i'm always so sad at how dark it looks

and when we let our dog out in the back yard, i can't see her! i know the solar lights won't help a ton...but it would light just enough that i could see her moving around back there.

And while I love my DS, I do sorta want to upgrade....mostly for the new Mario cart 7 and the new Mario 3D game

Since I'm not going home for Christmas (going to Connecticut with the gf)...my mom is shipping my gifts here. First thing I got was shelves and garden tool hangers for my shed. It's getting messy and needs to be organized. I'm also starting a home gym of sorts, so I needed shelves for that equipment. As for the gym:

I've received 15lb and 25lb version of these yesterday:

And I believe I'm getting some kettlebells:

I think I might get a slam ball or two as well:

That's what I want and that's what I'm getting. A pretty successful Christmas if you ask me.

I have been unimpressed with every version of those I've seen, so I would do some serious research when buying them and make sure you got some good ones. They put off less light than movie theater walkway lights. I mean, you can see the trail you are supposed to follow, but that's about it.

A nice little vacation without the children. Somewhere with a theme park so I can go on rides (<3 rollercoasters) and a place to swim.

I know they aren't the best, but we need something and can't afford the real deal with all the wiring that would be involved right now. Just a little light along the walkway is all we need...and if I can just see brina's silhouette moving around in the backyard that's fine too.

Which is pretty much what they're for. I could be wrong, but I don't think you buy these so you can do stuff outside in the dark. They are to highlight walkways and patios (which is why I have them).

If you need real outdoor lighting, you get different lights. Personally, I love my solar outdoor lights like these. They work perfectly for the reasons that I got them.

they don't seem to be that much more expensive (the biggest difference I'm seeing is about 15 bucks per set). Granted, there would be a slight be more installation required, but nothing too bad. The online specials for ordering these are much better than doing it instore

^they don't even light the pathway- it is like having the painted on glow in the dark stars kids put on their ceilings used as a guiding path. The powered ones do a much better job of illuminating an area and allowing you to actually see the area you are walking or where you want the lights.

solar ones are more like beacons rather than lights IMO

although, they sound like they would do exactly what LK wants them to do. I just hate having to upgrade later to what I really want.

Some people I know who have gotten them (several friends) are perfectly happy with what they did. My mom and my older sister both got them for their houses, though, and were both very unimpressed with what they did. They both wanted their front walkways to feel lit up enough so they would feel safe coming home at night, and these didn't cut it, but the traditional wired ones they put in later did. I guess it is all in what you want out of them

To finish work early so I can go home. I don't so much mind working on Christmas. With that said, it sucks I don't have New Years eve off either, and that I'll be in Charlotte the day prior. Can't catch a damn break.

I've got these going around my patio, and they light up great:

http://www.lowes.com/pd_335637-93591-00949_4294795214_4294937087_?productId=3308614&Ns=p_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1¤tURL=%2Fpl_Landscape%2BLighting_4294795214_4294937087_%3FNs%3Dp_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr|0||p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&facetInfo=

I can see the plants/flowers in their pots as well as my patio furniture and grill just with these on the perimeter of my patio. They do way more than you just described. Maybe your mom and sister got the dollar store cheap ones.

Then I've got a motion sensor light that lights up the yard. That's what helps me play cornhole and grill out at night.

Def $$$. And I'll be in London for Christmas. And I got the bf a ski trip, which I'm psyched to use as well.

I'm getting all of those , but I don't think an M3 (even used) is going to go over well working for a non-profit. I'm now looking at a 2007 350z.
