I'm still tethering on Sprint with the native tethering function built into my Galaxy S2. I did have to install a driver to support IP over USB on my laptop and I installed the Galaxy S2 driver as well. No additional software was needed; simply go into the phone settings and turn on tethering when I want to use it.

Doubt anyone but the higher ups know when they'll require a change to tiered and even they probably don't know yet. And it'll leak on the internet before most of their employees know anyways.

They are going to use every tactic possible to get people to voluntarily switch before forcing.

If they make an adverse change to your service it could result in an opportunity to cancel service with no ETF.

Plus most people on unlimited do not even use 2gb...they will probably single out the heavy users to kick off unlimited when that time comes.

I'm on the original Motorola Droid, and I want to upgrade to the Razr or the Droid 4; both of which, as I understand it, are 4G LTE phones. If I unlimited 3G now, when I re-up, will I still have unlimited?

I carry the BIONIC and I have been nothing but satisfied. The iphone 4 is $100, not the iPhone4S fyi....could make all the difference in her decision, not to mention BIONIC is 4G network and all iPhones are 3G only ....

I just switched to Verizon from US Cellular two weeks ago and got a Razr (it was BOGO--and the battery life drawback has not been enough of an issue for me to regret not getting a Razr MAXX). I love it, but it's my first smartphone so I'm still kind of "learning" I guess.

What phone do they have now? I personally don't sign a new contract unless I'm getting a phone with an extremely deep discount. I would rather spend 150 bucks on ebay for an older generation device than to not have upgrade available when an exclusive $800 MSRP device is subsidized at $199. *shrug*

nationwide, verizon is inarguably the best carrier in terms of cell/data service...add a reasonably-priced legacy alltel plan and it's phenomenal
