"Brian Buckner, who lives at 207 Gail Ridge Lane, said he was at home around 7:40 p.m. when Diane Zareski knocked on his door. She had been beaten, Buckner said, and was bleeding so badly that she left blood on his front porch and in his kitchen.

"She said, 'He wouldn't let me go, he wouldn't let me go. Finally I escaped,'" Buckner said.

Buckner called 911, but before deputies could arrive, Zareski shot several times at Bucker's house. So, he called 911 a second time and told them to hurry."

lol, I was confused at first and thought it was the chick that started firing at the house. First names are crucial

^I love mine too... with a 20 gauge, they are pretty manageable in pistol form too. People act like they are hard to aim like that- sure, you won't be able to shoot as accurately as you can from the shoulder, but I find it hard to believe that most people can't hit a target 15 feet in front of them, even if shooting from the hip. I never had a problem with it, and I was using a 3" superload steel shot 12 ga. just my2cents

Note: it wasn't the must fun thing to shoot, and my hands would be sore afterwards, but I don't care about that in a HD gun. My 642 isn't easy or fun to shoot more than a couple rounds out of, but it is great for what it is and for CC and personal defense.

combo is fine if that's what you're most comfortable with. as long as you shoot from the shoulder. shooting from the shoulder will always be more accurate and stable and you're not pressed for space for a HD shotgun, so what purpose does a pistol grip serve?

If home defense is what you want, and you don't care about carrying it around with you, a shotgun is what you want. You want it loaded with at least light buckshot. Forget this birdshot or #2 business; that's a terrible idea.

If you also don't care much about hunting with it, I think that a Saiga 12 like mine above is specifically the baddest home defense weapon on the market. AK-47 based action, variable gas settings, and you can easily fit it with a collapsible stock. It accepts very large magazines (stick-mags or drums, both pictured above).

I have no problem hitting soda cans and plastic bottles from ~15' shooting from the hip. Pistol grip wouldn't be my choice if I were buying new, but I'm pretty sure I can cover my stairway no problem. That's pretty much my tactical chokepoint that I would plan to defend 300 style if someone were to break in while I'm home. Forget locking myself in the bedroom when the stairway is much easier to cover.

Haha, yep. When I had a 2-story house with a staircase that doubled back on itself, I figured that on the worst case, if someone got into my house, they would still be mega-fucked if I got to my bedroom upstairs and grabbed that Saiga.
