This is the first year I'm buying a root ball tree. I already found the place I'm going to buy it. Other years, I've used artificial because the years my parents had a real tree, the thing shed into the carpet so badly that it took forever to get all the needles out. Now with the root ball and the fact that I have hardwood floors in my house, I think the shedding should be manageable, if at all.

My family has always bought trees from Pop n Son, but in the last year apparently both Pop and Son have died, so another family will be offering the trees in the same location (friends of Pop n Son). Now that I have spare $$$ I am going to keep buying trees from them because real trees are just the best thing.

Also, if you've got a fake tree and want some of the real tree smell in the house, snag one of those glade scented oil things. At the Target in Cary they had some (god knows if they sold out by now). The scent you're looking for is "Spruce It Up" in a green box with white lettering.

^ I was severely disappointed with their tree selection last year. If they all died recently that would explain a lot.

it depends, our family never really had any traditions involving the tree so it made sense to get a fake tree, but if your family does a bunch of stuff around the tree, get a real one

^ It's not like they go into a virgin forest and clear cut a bunch of trees for Christmas.

Real.

If anyone is around Salisbury or Lexington, please support my uncles and buy a tree next to Jerry's Shell on Jake Alexander in Salisbury, or in Lexington across from Sears on 64 near highway 52.

For all you that are still looking to purchase a christmas tree and want to help a fellow wolfwebber out buy one of mine!
I am selling christmas trees that I grew in the mountains of NC (Allegheny county, near sparta) at my church.
St. Pauls Christian church
3331 Blue Ridge road
raleigh nc
A portion of the proceeds of each sale goes to the outreach (charity) budget of the church. We are open from noon to dark tomorrow and during the daylight during the week. Next weekend someone will be there during daylight hours. So come on out and help a t-dubber and people in need while also getting a locally grown tree!

JESUS. We used to take our tree and grandmas tree (who lived next door) and save them for a new years bonfire. 30 trees would be INTENSE.

^ And for when you're stuck in a high-rise apartment building where real trees are forbidden due to the fire hazard associated with them.
