FOX is showing the pilot of Touch tonight at 9, it's a drama about how autistic kids are magical from the creator of Heroes.

^will be checking it out after i get off work.

I hope Smash doesn't tank in the ratings, it would be nice for NBC to start turning things around. The pilot is kind of good too.

I have knocked off two episodes already. Pretty good so far. Nothing crazy either way. I was surprised how much of the dialogue was in Norwegian. I like it though as it accentuates his differences from the locals.

Finished off the first season this afternoon. Pretty good all around, especially for a streaming exclusive show in the US. I will watch season 2.

" the Kiefer Sutherland drama "Touch" has been shifted to Thursday nights at 9 p.m. starting on March 22. That gives "Touch" the benefit of a spring run following "American Idol," though it eliminates the anticipated reunion between Sutherland and his old "24" time period on Mondays. Hopefully the 9 p.m. hour won't be too disappointed.

As a result of that move, "Bones" will shift from Thursdays at 9 p.m. to Mondays at 8 p.m. starting on Monday, April 2. That will, in turn, send "House" to Mondays at 9 p.m. for its final string of episodes leading up to the series finale on Monday, May 21, which will include a retrospective look-back in the 8 p.m. hour."

bttt for last night's premiere of Bent on NBC

I actually enjoyed it. It's a weird transition for Amanda Peet but i'm buying it and they did a good job of building a supporting cast.

I hate the three week burn off schedule, it never means good things for NBC's confidence (see Love Bites) but i'll be watching

it's a shame too. Perfect Couples was actually quite good and 100 questions was DOA before it even aired. i still blame NBC for everything

It was no Community or Parks and Rec, but it was way better than the legion of shitty sitcoms NBC has put on Thursdays since then (Outsourced, Paul Reiser show, Whitney, Up All Night)

Outsourced was pre-Perfect Couples, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Perfect Couples was gibberish. Olivia Munn may be the worst actress since Sofia Coppola. The dyke from Fast Forward was equally brutal. Its only saving graces were the Waitress from Sunny and Jay Baruchel's older brother from She's Out of My League, but even they couldn't save that abortion of a show.

At least some of the people on Perfect Couples were funny, as opposed to Diedrich Bader and a black hole of a leading man on Outsourced. How many "Indian food makes you shit your pants" jokes did they do again?

How narrow minded is that viewpoint? Hey, show about Indians, guess it’s all fart and diarrhea jokes. Outsourced was the victim of poor marketing and a jaded Western point of view. At its core, it’s a show about the struggle to adapt to a foreign environment. Ben Rappaport shines as Todd in his first significant screen role, other than playing that deaf girl’s boyfriend in that famous Kay Jewelers ad. He’s charming, but not to the point of being a douche, like the ‘star’ does on so many other shows. He’s just a guy who got transferred against his will trying to make sense of this strange new land and all the colorful characters who are along for the ride.

I’ll be the first to admit I groaned when Bader made his initial appearance, but I quickly warmed to his character. He and Todd share a relationship similar to Bader and Livingston’s in Office Space, where he’s a quirky confidant of sorts who has his own unique perspective on the world. And while their hijinks here go a little further than fishing and checking out the breast exam on channel 9, he still provides that ‘everyman’ feel that casual viewers can easily identify with.

But the real charm of the show lies in the rest of the cast. You’ve got Manmeet, the naïve young employee who wants nothing more than to meet an American women. You’ve got Asha, the beautiful native who soon becomes one of Todd’s love interests in a complex arc that spans the entire series. And you’ve got Gupta, the goofball of the mix who goes from lovable loser at the outset to just plain pathetic by the end. Think of an Indian Stevie Janowski.

The show was destined to fail because it featured no name actors and moved timeslots almost every week. But it was an excellent show while it lasted, and anyone who says differently is no friend of mine.

"Outsourced, however, is bad. It is full of jokes about sacred cows and funny names and how funny certain American things sound when you say them in an Indian accent. There’s a punchline about what spicy curry does to American gastrointestinal systems. There is an Indian man trying to learn about American culture by shaking his butt and singing a Pussycat Dolls song. (A joke that’s not just insulting but stupid, since it’s premised on the idea that people around the world are not already steeped in imported American pop.) There’s a character named “Manmeet,” which is funny because it sounds like “Man Meat,” which is funny because a guy might call his penis that, which is funny because penis. Also, it is not funny."

It was pretty good. The wife and I enjoyed it and watched the entire first season. That said, when it got cancelled I was not outraged enough to bother with it. I said, oh yea that sucks, and went on with the other 20+ shows I watch at a time. And have since watched all of Up All Night, and enjoy it, though it is my 4th favorite of that 2 hour comedy block.

Sorry, I tried to read your statement, but each time it changed into a paragraph about BBT, which (while it has some inadequacies of its own), was exponentially better than this awful show. I tried an episode of Outsourced, but it just wasn't working for me.
