Once you realize how expensive upkeeping a house is, you expect to have people at least give you reasonable responses to questions. Instead of him ignoring repeated requests for pictures of his work, he could have just stated that he had no pictures to give out and I would have been on my way.

Anyone who has paid a person for work that turned out less than as promised doesn't want to make the same mistake again. Anyone who has gotten paid for doing substandard work wants to be the first person to fuck their new clients over.

There is no way you can paint a room properly for $50, much less do a good job- anyone who has painted a room properly would know that, so that should be the end of it right there.

^Hey Einstein, it says "As low as $50"....not $50. As low as. That's an old advertising phrase that has been around forever. So what that means idiot, is that there may be the possibility of getting you out at $50 a room under certain circumstances.

As far as you occamsrezr, you are simply a moron. For realz, dude.

I'm would like to know what 50/ a room means since you are advertising it.

I'll let you explain it to us in this thread. You can name your specs. To me, painting a room includes all caulking, spackling, and sanding done. The walls and trim should be included as trim, doors, and window casing is part a room.

if you cant do that, then what do you charge to paint the following small room:

10x10
9' ceilings
no crown molding
3 six panel doors/ casing
4" baseboards.
builders beige flat
white semi-gloss trim paint with 2 shots of black.
you can leave the ceilings alone.
the drywall is in "average" condition.

If you are going to throw out some ridiculous sales pitch such as 50 bucks to get in your vehicle and drive to my house, use your naps and brushes, actually paint the room properly, clean up after yourself and drive home, and actually claim the income on your taxes, back it up with what that actually includes.

I also want a copy of your city of Raleigh business license, proof of liability insurance and workers comp insurance, or a workers comp waiver form, and w-9.

Shouldn't be hard for you to provide anything I requested here without a PM.

That room would run around $80-$90, with the doors and trim. Probably take 4-5 hours. That's around $20 per hour. Why is that that such a ridiculous sales pitch? If it makes you feel better to pay someone twice as much money, then do it.

$50 gets you a a basic quick painting of the walls. It's actually what we do the most. Realtors, landlords, etc.

You can check out the biz license and such when you hire me. It's legit. It has to be so i can write off everything I do or buy. Damn.

What exactly are you damning? landlords, real estate agents, etc. don't "whitewash" properties...trust me. I know what the fuck I'm talking about here.

Something tells me you aren't going to move beyond the craigslist/ tww advertising, station wagon bandit you are. Most contractors don't bother leaving the house for under 300 bucks. It doesn't make fiscal sense.

Dude, get out from under the rock. Realtors, landlords and homeowners "whitewash" all the damn time. Everyone is trying to save money. I do at least a house or apt. a week doing it. I stay fairly fucking busy whether thru here, CL or whateve doing it. That's because I WILL walk out of the house for less than $300. Just cause you may know what the fuck you're talking about. doesn't mean you're right. Somebody please lock this thread.

I referring more to the fact that you are so short sighted that you are excited about the 3 jobs you claim to have received on here despite acting as unprofessional as possible, but forget that now anyone who does a google search for your phone number or business will see this thread plus the craigslist complaint as the only source of information about your "company" on the internet.

You're a savvy businessman.

I googled your number, and came across your other failed enterprises.

It's one thing to be an idiot. Its another to be an idiot and do shitty work.

How much does it add if Mr Grace wants each wall a different color?

You also forgot to ask him what color the walls currently are...
