Didn't they become the Landmark Forum?

Crazy they still exist. A bunch of trolls. Raleigh is like a breeding ground for these people."

Quixtar = Amway.

Fucking this. I think I'm done trying to convince people to be more rational. It's time to be a preacher or peddle homeopathy or holograms.

YAAH.. I was approached by a guy while I was working at a dealership selling cars. (pretty smart place to go recruiting imo). He invites me over to his very nice house in Cary and we talk. This guy was definitely not hurting, or at least he didn't seem to show any signs of being hurt on money. Threw me the pitch, I decided to go to the intro seminar. That's when it all went down hill and I bailed. But that gentleman and his wife, both working for one of these companies (can't recall which), were doing pretty well from the looks of it. I haven't seen any of these recruiters in 6 years now. They were all over the place back in 2007.

A buddy of mine convince me to go to one of those seminar deals, wasn't Amway but it is all the same to me. There were some people I talked to there that he knew who were absolutely banking it but that is only because they are on the top of the pyramid. I told him he was full of shit for believing this (before and after the seminar, I only went because he is a good friend of mine and had helped me out a lot). The next time I went home and saw him I asked him how that was going and surprise surprise he quit and said it was a load of shit. At least he didn't try to pressure me into doing it.

Some people do it on the side to try and make more money. They ususually just annoy their family and friends who end up talking about how crazy they are behind their backs. Where is the shame? $ is not that important yo.

Everytime I hear Amway Arena I cringe.

I work w a girl who does Amway... I think. She is extremely cryptic in her fb statuses about "safe" products & feeling "so healthy & full of energy" she then posts how much she makes every month to bait people.

I went to the legacy center thing... My boss at an internship I was doing invited me so I didn't think much of it. Once I realized what was going on I got the fuck out & ended up moving for my job so it was easy to brush off the follow ups.

Don't forget about Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing. Similar idea but with no original products.
I do know someone who has done pretty well with it though.

Someone from the IT group at work does this but for some instant coffee shit. They make much less money than we do, so it makes sense that they would try to get extra income, but this is still sad.

My first project out of school, there was a CAD designer who tried to get me into some of this stuff. I guess he thought he could prey on the new college grad

I have a former classmate who is constantly pimping Shakeology on FB and another who is big on Visualis. They are not mutual friends, but the Shakeology girl is a lot more annoying about it and is snarky about the "processed crap" that is in Body by Vi, while her Shakeology is all natural.

What gets me is they both talk about how healthy they are because of it. But they are both all about exercising and running constantly. I think their strict exercise regimes are a lot bigger factor in their overall well being than some overpriced shake they drink for lunch.

I know a guy who quit his full time job to do this. house was foreclosed on soon after.

I don't understand how people think its worthwhile to bother people all day everyday to try and become successful at this.

People are non-rational goons that raise other non-rational goons. For thousands of years, humanity has been held captive by teaching that believing shit without good reason is a virtue so reason is the exception.

It's a breeding ground for suckers and thus people to take advantage of the suckers.

I too have the visalus and shakeology people on my facebook friends list.

Unfortunately, I have a contingent of family in the lumberton area, and they are now all about some shit called Scentsy and Lia Sophia, which appear to be a candle MLM and a jewelry MLM respectively.

They're always inviting me and my gf to these "events" at their houses. It gets very, very annoying.
