There are only two Chick-fil-A establishments in all of Massachusetts, and they are both inside mall food courts well north of Boston. They were about to sign a contract to put one on campus at Northeastern, but the students rallied against it beacuse of:
Quote : | "They fund anti-gay organizations and don't allow gays in any of their WinShape programs." |
So now there won't be another one.

^My home state always fucks everything up... clearly if they just tried Chick-fil-A once before they trolled all over it, they'd let it into their hearts. 3/2/2012 1:12:32 AM

On the one hand, I feel like I shouldn't eat at CFA because I don't agree with the discrimination. On the other hand, if the locations are individually franchised as most fast-food places are, should I penalize the franchisee for the behavior of the corporate office? I know they're not blameless because they signed on as an informed party, but it just seems less nettlesome to me.
Also it's just good. Dammit. That, unfortunately, keeps me going back. 3/2/2012 10:15:49 AM

The same thing that's wrong with not supporting a company based on what you believe or don't believe in (nothing). 3/2/2012 10:55:35 AM

If I'm not mistaken, McDonald's is openly supportive of the gay community and funds some pro-gay organizations, but I could be wrong. Companies take stances, and "boycotting" them (lol) by refusing to eat there isn't going to do a damn thing but make you feel better and maybe inspire you to put a fresh Coexist sticker on your bumper. 3/2/2012 11:07:17 AM
